Projects & Capabilities
These projects show how GIS transforms complex data into interactive visuals that reveal patterns, stories, and insights. They highlight skills in mapping, data analytics, and spatial analysis, with each project demonstrating a unique aspect of GIS.
Cartography:
Where Art Meets Science
This project was created as part of Esri’s Cartography MOOC and explores how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) bring together data, design, and analysis to make complex information understandable. It demonstrates how choices in symbology, labeling, coordinate systems, and layout design shape the way maps communicate stories, reveal patterns, and support decisions.
Maths of Mapmaking:
Map Projections
This project explores how different map projections represent Earth’s curved surface on a flat plane, each introducing some form of distortion. Using ArcGIS Pro, it compares common projections to show how they affect shapes, areas, distances, and directions.
SQL Magic
SQL is a powerful tool for cleaning and transforming large datasets efficiently before analysis.
It helps data analysts remove duplicates, fix inconsistencies, handle missing values, and prepare data for accurate insights.
